I am thrilled to announce that my tintype portrait of Doug Francisco of the Invisible Circus has won first place in the character study category of this prestigious competition.

This photograph is one of a personal series of tintype portraits of circus artists.  I am working towards producing a book and exhibition of these circus portraits sometime in the months ahead.

The top 101 photographs from the competition will all be printed in an upcoming book and have already been published in several leading newspapers and websites.  As a professional photographer, I am absolutely delighted to receive this accolade, I can’t quite believe it!
